NASA

Mrs. Blue, and Mrs. Mobley, both teachers here at Plum Canyon have been selected as  teachers to participate in NASA programs at the Dryden Flight Research Center.  According to the NASA website, Teachers have “participated in earthquake and soil moisture research flights aboard NASA’s Gulfstream III research aircraft equipped with the UAVSAR radar system during the a four-week Airborne Research Experience for Educators and Students program.”

This program allows teachers to receive training with NASA technologies, bring cutting edge scientific technology back to the classroom.  Some of the programs also include having guest speakers from NASA come into the classroom and work with the students directly. We here at Plum are very excited about this opportunity.
